Court hire
45 minutes on a good court for £9 at peak, £6 off-peak. Ring to book, turn up, and borrow a racket if you have not got one.
You can hire a court without joining anything. Ring the clubhouse or use the form, and we will give you a time and a door code.
Slots run every 45 minutes from 7am, and you can book up to three days ahead. Peak is Monday to Friday from 5pm to 9pm and Saturday from 9am to noon. The courts page will tell you the price for any hour.
Non-marking shoes only: we mean it, because a black streak on maple comes off with sanding and a lot of swearing. Court 4 has the glass back and the gallery, and it is the one to ask for if you want someone to watch you lose.
If you are playing more than about once a week, full membership becomes cheaper than hiring, and you get the ladder as well. We will not hassle you, but we might mention it.

Questions about court hire
Can I hire for a work do?
Yes. Evenings on three courts with the bar open are popular, and we will run a daft little tournament for you. Ring with a date.
Do you sell balls?
Yes, at the bar: double yellow dot for club players, or a bouncier one for beginners.
First game is on us. Bring shoes that do not mark.
Ring or send a line and someone from the club will give you a game at about your level, lend you a racket and tell you honestly what you are doing wrong.
