Lightening

Marco took me from a box-dye brown to platinum over two visits and my hair is in better condition than before I started. He said no to doing it in one go and he was right. The bob Elena cut afterwards gets comments every week.

Cut

The consultation is the thing. Nobody has ever asked me what I do with my hair on a Tuesday morning before. The cut I got is the first one I can actually recreate at home.

Bridal

Trial in May, wedding in July, six heads done at the venue from 6am and Elena did not leave until the veil was in. The timings sheet she sent was better than the planner's.

Men's cut

A men's cut that is an actual haircut: a consultation, a wash, scissors, a finish. Amara noticed a cowlick my last three barbers had been fighting and cut with it instead. £32.

Balayage

Beautiful balayage, exactly the photo. Four stars because the appointment overran by twenty-five minutes and I had a train; they did text me, as promised, and knocked the treatment off the bill.

Extensions

Tape-in extensions colour-matched so well that my mother did not notice. Maintained every seven weeks and my own hair underneath is longer and healthier than when I started a year ago.

About the four stars

Balayage overran. We texted, we discounted, and it still cost a star.

Hannah's balayage took twenty-five minutes longer than booked because her hair lifted more slowly than the strand test suggested and Marco would not rush the toner. We texted her as promised and took the treatment off the bill. She still had a train. The fix is honest booking times for first-time lightening, which we have since lengthened. The review stays because it is true.
