Its own wok
Vegetarian
Ma po tofu, crispy tofu in black bean, Buddha’s delight and garlic pak choi, cooked in a separate wok with vegetable stock, plus a vegetarian set for two.

Vegetarian dishes get their own wok, their own ladles and vegetable stock instead of chicken stock. Amy’s idea, in 2018, and it doubled the number of vegetarians ordering from us.
The tofu is pressed and fried until crisp, then tossed in black bean sauce, salt and pepper, or the ma po sauce made with fermented bean paste and Szechuan pepper. Buddha’s delight is a mix of mushrooms, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, baby corn and pak choi in a light sauce.
Most of the vegetarian dishes are also vegan; the menu marks the vegetarian ones and the counter can tell you which contain egg. We still share a kitchen and a fryer, so it is not a meat-free kitchen.

Questions about vegetarian
Is the egg fried rice vegetarian?
Yes, and cooked in the vegetable wok if you ask. It contains egg, so it is not vegan.
Which dishes are vegan?
The tofu dishes, Buddha’s delight, garlic pak choi, vegetable chow mein and boiled rice. Ask at the counter for the full list.
Do you fry spring rolls in the same oil as meat?
Yes, the fryer is shared. If that matters to you, choose the wok dishes rather than anything battered or fried.
