How we cook

Four things that have not changed since 1994.

Fresh in the wok

Nothing is kept warm in a bain-marie. The wok burner runs at full flame and every dish is cooked when it is ordered.

Prices on the website

Every number, every price and the delivery fee for your street are on this site, so the total is never a surprise.

Proper vegetarian

Twelve vegetarian dishes cooked in a separate wok with vegetable stock, not chicken dishes with the chicken left out.

An honest wait

The order page tells you how long collection takes right now, and it says so when Friday night makes it longer.

The vegetarian dishes have their own wok.

Since 2018 every vegetarian dish is cooked in a separate wok with vegetable stock, with its own ladles. Most are vegan too. It was Amy’s idea, and it doubled the number of vegetarians ordering from us.

  • Salt and pepper tofu, ma po tofu, Buddha’s delight
  • A vegetarian set for two at £25.50

Been ordering Set B every Friday for longer than I have been married. Same number, same taste, and Amy remembers we want chips not rice before I say it.

Delivery

Delivered in thirty-five minutes on a Saturday, still piping hot, and the driver had change for a twenty. Cheaper than the apps by a mile for exactly the same food.

Vegetarian

As a vegetarian I usually get egg fried rice and sadness. Here there is a whole section cooked in its own wok and the salt and pepper tofu is outstanding.
