Set meals

Set meals are the easiest way to feed a household without a debate: a starter, two or three mains, rice or noodles and prawn crackers, at less than the dishes cost separately.

There are six, numbered 141 to 150 like they have been since 1994. Set B for two is the one most people order: spring rolls, sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style, beef in black bean sauce, egg fried rice, chips and crackers. Set C adds a quarter crispy duck with pancakes.

You can swap like for like at no charge: chips for rice, chicken for pork, chow mein for fried rice. Swapping up to king prawns or duck is the difference in price. Tell us when you order or put it in the notes on the order page.

The vegetarian set for two is cooked in the vegetable wok with vegetable stock, and it is a set we would order ourselves.
