Consultation, drawing, sessions, in that order

Custom and large scale

Sleeves, back pieces, chest panels and anything drawn specifically for you: a free consultation, a drawing you approve before anything is stencilled, and sessions booked in a run so the piece is finished rather than started.

A custom piece starts with a conversation, not a stencil. Bring your references, your reasons and your budget, and the artist tells you what is possible in the space, in the style, and in the number of sessions you can afford.

The consultation is free and takes twenty minutes in the studio or by video. The artist takes your references, measures and photographs the placement, and quotes a fixed price or a session count. A £50 deposit books it. The drawing is done in the week before your first session and sent to you; small changes are free, a new direction is a new drawing. On the day you see the stencil on the skin in the mirror and we move it until it is right. Nothing goes on until you say so.

Large work is booked in a run: a back piece might be four day sessions three weeks apart, and we book all four so the piece gets finished. Lining first, then shading and colour on later sessions as the earlier ones heal. We photograph each stage for you and keep the drawing on file so an artist can pick it up again years later.

Questions about custom work

Can I bring a design from another artist?

As a reference for style, yes. To copy, no: we do not tattoo another artist's custom work, and we will redraw the idea in our own hand so it is yours and not a copy of someone else's.

Book, or just walk in.

Custom work starts with a free consultation, in the studio or by video. Flash is walk-in, Tuesday to Saturday, 11am to 4pm, with ID. Eighteen and over only.
