What we collect, why, how long we keep it and how to ask us about it.
What we collect
When you use the booking form we collect your name, phone number, email address, your postcode, the style and artist you choose, your confirmation that you are 18 or over, and anything you write in the message box. The form also records the time it was sent and your IP address, used only to block automated submissions.
When you are tattooed we keep a consent form with your name, date of birth, the ID we checked, the placement and design, the artist, the date, the inks and needle lot numbers used, and any medical conditions, medication or allergies you declared, because the law and our licence require it and because a reaction months later can only be traced with it.
Why we use it
- To confirm and remind you of appointments (the steps needed before and under a contract).
- To tattoo you safely and lawfully, which includes keeping the consent form and ink and needle records (legal obligation under our licence). Photographs of your tattoo are used on this site or our social pages only with your agreement, and never with your face unless you ask.
- To keep invoice records (legal obligation).
- To remind you of the free three-month touch-up, if you have asked for a reminder (consent; stop at any time by email).
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted after six months. Consent forms are kept for seven years from the date of the tattoo, as our licence requires; invoices for seven years. Reminder lists are kept until you ask to be removed.
Who sees it
Our three artists, our accountant, the council's licensing officer on inspection, and the text service that sends your booking confirmation (name, phone number and appointment time only). The booking form is delivered by email to our office; we do not use third-party form services or marketing platforms. We do not sell or share your details for marketing.
