Walked in on a Tuesday with no idea what I wanted, walked out with a dagger from Mari's wall that I still get complimented on four years later. The healed photo looks like the fresh one. That is the whole point of traditional, apparently.

Ash talked me out of fine line on my finger and into my forearm, and showed me a healed photo of why. Wildflowers from my nan's garden. Two years on it is as crisp as day one. The honesty is why I keep coming back.
Dai covered a tribal band I have hated since 2004 with a panther that is darker than I expected and better than I hoped. He told me at the consultation exactly how big it would have to be and he was right. No laser needed.
A full geometric half-sleeve over three day sessions. Drawn straight onto my arm, which I was nervous about, and it follows the muscle in a way a stencil never would. Sat through six hours of solid black because Dai paces it properly.
Great tattoo, properly clean studio, everything opened in front of me. Four stars because I turned up at 1pm on a Saturday for flash and waited two hours. They did warn me on the website. Come early is the lesson.
Matching swallows for our wedding, drawn by Mari so they are a pair rather than two copies of the same flash. ID checked even though we are both 34, which we found funny and then reassuring.
About the four stars
Two hours on a Saturday. We did warn him, and it still cost a star.
Jake is right that he waited two hours, and right that the website says Saturdays fill by noon. Three artists, one in each chair, and flash is first come first served; we text people when a chair is free so they can go for a coffee, but it is still a wait. The fix is a Tuesday morning, when you are in a chair in twenty minutes, and we would rather say that than pretend Saturday afternoons are quiet.

Get tattooed, live with it for a few months, and tell the next person what it was like. Good or bad, it stays up.
