Two heat presses and a six-head embroidery machine, in the back of the shop

Printing and embroidery

Names and numbers pressed while you wait for a single shirt, badges embroidered from a sew-out you approve, sponsors' logos in vinyl or transfer, and workwear and hen-party T-shirts too. One-offs welcome; the print room is open Monday to Friday.

Everything is printed or embroidered in the room behind the shop: two heat presses for names, numbers and logos, and a six-head embroidery machine for badges. Doing it ourselves is why a single shirt with a name can be done while you wait, and why we can fix a mistake the same day.

Names and numbers are cut from heat-transfer vinyl in club fonts and pressed on at the right temperature for the fabric, so they do not lift in the wash. A single shirt with a name and number takes about fifteen minutes while you wait; a team set is a day. Sponsors' logos are printed as full-colour transfers from a vector file, which we can redraw from a picture for a fee.

Badges are embroidered. A new badge is digitised (turned into a stitch file) for £25 once, then sewn out on a scrap of the real shirt for you to approve, colours and all. Once approved it stays on file. We also embroider workwear, polo shirts for local businesses, and the odd retirement hoodie.

Questions about printing and embroidery

Will the numbers peel off?

Not if they are washed inside out at 30 degrees and not tumble-dried hot. If one lifts within a season, bring the shirt back and we press it again.

Can you copy a badge from a photo?

Usually, yes. A clear photo or an old shirt is enough to digitise from; we redraw it and show you the sew-out before anything is ordered.

Build the kit. Borrow the sizes. We print it here.

The kit builder gives the price per player, the total and the date it will be ready; the size sample bag goes to training for a week, free. Send the sizing sheet and the badge and we quote in writing within one working day.
